The Group Sales Account Executive’s (GSAE) main responsibility is to produce ticket revenue by developing and maintaining season and group ticket accounts for University of Louisville athletic events. The GSAE will sell new group accounts to decision makers within businesses and non-profit organizations. The GSAE will reach their goals by prospecting sales opportunities via phone/text, email, face-to-face appointments, special events, and in-stadium/arena touchpoints. They are also responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, updating and maintaining account records, and other duties as assigned. This position will report to the Director of New Business.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implement short and long-term group sales plans
Sell group and hospitality outings through outbound calls (minimum of 50 per day), networking and client referrals. This includes daily phone calls and setting up face-to-face meeting with current and prospective clients.
Participate in community and networking events to make connections with group business leaders, with the goal to grow our group sales and attendance.
Grow the database of potential group customers, prospecting for quality leads through referrals and identifying new group categories.
Focus on relationship building and generating repeat business with existing group database.
Working with Team Marketing to create, promote and implement special group themed events at football and men's basketball games that increase group sales.
Oversee all group sales communications including gocards.com content, direct mail, and email.
Coordinate the development of proposals and collateral materials.
Work closely with Ticket Operations on ticket distribution to provide the highest level of customer service for group purchasers.
Assist the Ticket Sales & Retention teams in hitting all department season ticket annual revenue goals.
Maintain a detailed database of records related to sales activity and budget pacing, as well as customer prospecting.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree and one year of related work experience with a proven track record of high-level sales success, or an equivalent combination.
Preferred Qualifications:
Effective interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills including written and verbal; ability to present ideas clearly and concisely
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to attend and work all home Football and Men's Basketball games
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Working knowledge of Microsoft CRM database
Experience using Ticketmaster, Archtics Ticketing System
