About the Position:
This role is an on-campus, in-person position.
The Assistant AD for Ticket Operations will oversee the day-to-day operations of the ticket office, game day management and all aspects associated with the successful administration of the SMU Athletics Ticket Office.
Oversee ticket operations and ticket allocations for all SMU ticketed sports and hosted events. Design and maintain ticket processing system. Assist in creation of ticket book. Manage mobile/digital ticketing. Provide recommendations on season and single game ticket prices. Work collaboratively with the ticket sales team, development, marketing, sponsorships and compliance
Apply NCAA ticketing rules, regulations and complete paperwork and prepare documentation for yearly audits for ticket and attendance. Reconcile and deposit all gate receipts for ticketed events. Manage ticket operations budget.
Provide high level of customer service.
Manage and supervise staff of one FTE, graduate assistant student workers, and game day staff.
Order and design ticket stock and supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Position requires regular evening and weekend work
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required. Master's preferred.
A minimum of three years of work experience is required. Experience in athletics ticketing is required. Work experience as a manager for a ticket office is desirable.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidate must demonstrate strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate broadly across the University and develop and maintain effective relationships with a wide range of constituencies. Must also demonstrate strong written communication skills. A strong customer service orientation is essential.
Candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and analyze problems, as well as devise solutions. Must also have strong organizational, planning and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks concurrently. A strong focus on attention to detail is essential.
Candidate must have a strong working knowledge of MS Office. A working knowledge of the Paciolan Ticketing System is also required.
