Brewton-Parker College has an immediate opening for the Assistant Director of Athletic Communications. This position will be responsible for assisting the Director of Athletic Communications in the athletic department’s communication efforts and working to actively promote Brewton-Parker College’s teams, coaches, and student-athletes.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
•Assist in game day operations which include the coverage/oversight of HomeTown Ticketing, scoreboard, public address announcing, music, printed materials (scripts, roster sheets, game programs, etc.), game promotions, and live streaming.
•Aid in the management of statistics for all teams, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are kept.
•Maintain bpcathletics.com with timely and accurate information which includes news releases, recaps, previews, schedules, rosters, etc.
•Collaborate with the Director of Athletic Communications on the development and execution of a strategic plan for all BPC Athletics’ social media accounts.
•Produce creative content for all media outlets such as promotional graphics, game notes, video features, etc.
•Assist in the oversight and coordination of the athletic communications work-study program.
•Aid in the coordination of the department’s video efforts through live streams while actively incorporating video footage in athletics promotion (highlights, interviews, features, etc.).
•Answer media/information requests from local media outlets, conference opponents, the SSAC office, or the NAIA national office.
•Provide administrative support to the Vice-President of Enrollment and Athletics as needed. Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree.
A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience; experience with website management, live stats (PrestoStats, StatCrew, etc.), adobe suite, and other computer programs.
The candidate should also possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks, excellent written and oral skills, knowledge of computer applications, and the ability to work evenings and weekends.
Must demonstrate commitment to working with diverse populations.
Must be able to lift and move equipment, maintain a valid driver’s license, and transport the team as needed.
The successful candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and should possess the ability to successfully disciple student-athletes.
