High Point University is currently seeking a Director of Marketing and Promotions to work directly with the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing. This position creates a distinct gameday experience while strengthening the High Point University brand in the local community. Helps generate revenue, interest, and awareness for 17 athletic programs at High Point Assists with the development and implementation of season ticket campaigns, group sales and single game ticket sales to increase attendance Provides support for all aspects of gameday promotions and maximize gameday experience Increase Community support and involvement to brand HPU as High Point’s TEAM
Assists with sponsorship cultivation opportunities by identifying sponsors for solicitation and cultivating existing relationships
Implements advertising campaigns for specific sports including ticket sales
Promotes athletic events by designing materials, utilizing campus e-mails, campus TV’s, flyers, social media, campus and student organizations
Works with community groups, guest acts, and large groups to entertain and enhance the game day atmosphere
Writes game scripts including the timeline for band, dance, and cheer
Leads on-court promotions and coordinate crowd giveaways with sponsors
Orchestrates video board graphics and audio
Schedules and organize live National Anthem performances, halftime acts, and special presentations for specific sports
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business or related field or equivalent experience required
