The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for a Remote Broadcasting Engineer Coordinator to organize, transport, and oversee the assembly of all remote broadcast gear at remote event sites. This position will work with broadcast professionals and UF students to ensure all camera systems, video and audio connections, and data links are configured correctly and are operational in time for remote broadcasts. This includes providing assistance in training and overseeing these crews to ensure they are operating in a safe work environment. Collaborates with UF’s College of Journalism’s Division of Media Properties and Technology Advancement Group.
MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field*
Two years of related experience*
Ability to engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds
Ability to work a non-standard work week which will include evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree
Five years of remote sports production experience
Experience with remote broadcasting operations and event setup
Problem-solver with strong communication skills
Working knowledge of fiber-based video and audio signal flow
Knowledgeable of NCAA and SEC rules and regulations
*An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted in lieu of education/experience requirements
