The Director of Ticket Operations reports to the Assistant Athletic Director -Ticket Operations and serves as a leader in the creation, communication and execution of customer service and sales/marketing plans necessary to increase sales and achieve revenue goals for the Department of Athletics. A key component of increased revenue generation is the Department of Athletics Business Intelligence/Data Analytics Project. Serve in a lead role and as the primary Ticket Office contact for this project, which has already received and will continue to receive extensive Ticket Office support and requires the involvement of an individual with significant technical competencies requiring a broader technical skill set. Will work with other Athletic Department units, as appropriate, to develop and oversee the execution of a communications strategy to ensure exceptional dissemination of information about ticket availability and pricing, enhancing the messaging as appropriate to increase fans’ enthusiasm for the product. Serve as the primary event/program contact for Football, coordinating game day planning, set up and management. Train all permanent, full-time employees on the Paciolan Ticketing System. Serve in a leadership role in the Ticket Office, providing input on budgetary and staffing matters. Provide administrative expertise and ensure the program operations of the Ticket Office and access to Home UNC athletic events are executed in compliance with the policies, procedures and core competencies of the Athletic Department. Administer and manage ticket /program operations for Athletic Department events and sponsored events. Responsibilities include assisting the Senior Assistant Athletic Director in preparing and analyzing computer supported ticketing and database reports; providing prompt and accurate information to members of the Athletic Department, donors, staff, students and guests. Demonstrates skills and abilities to assess and resolve problems that require research and review of procedures and policies. Must apply the policies of the Athletic Ticket Office in a manner consistent with University, ACC , and NCAA regulations.
Must communicate effectively with many groups in order to verify payment for tickets and all internal invoices. Must demonstrate the skills and abilities to assess and resolve problems that require research and review of procedures and policies. Demonstrate creative and innovative use of technology and a variety of communication methods. Must demonstrate the ability to convey clear information to a variety of audiences. Must exercise good judgment for all problem resolutions based on delegated authority from the Assistant Athletic Director. Must demonstrate a highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction , and demonstrated passion for excellence with respect to serving customers and providing clear and concise information, both verbally and in writing . Requires work on evenings , weekends, and holidays, in addition to occasional travel.
