West Texas A&M athletics is seeking a self-motivated, highly energetic and goal oriented individual to proactively grow the WT athletics brand and revenue through an innovated approach. This position is responsible for devising and executing strategies to increase WT athletics exposure through social media, traditional advertising, TV, Radio, OTT, video content and new technologies.
Responsibilities: Serve on the senior management team; provide leadership, vision and oversight to the university’s athletics external relations unit which consists of all revenue generation - marketing office, communications office, and corporate sponsorship sales office.
Responsible for high profile NCAA DII external relations program: Athletic Communications - includes public relations, publications and broadcasting services; Athletics Digital Media - includes social media, website operation, photography & graphic design, includes video production services; Athletics Marketing - includes advertising, promotions & fan experience; Oversee athletics corporate sponsorship program - includes sales and fulfillment.
Responsible for negotiation of all multi-media rights: Radio, TV, FloSports
Oversee Big Wheel club & program projects
Assist with Athletics community relations: includes ticket operation and sales, includes athletics merchandise operation
Responsible for assisting with personnel management, facilities planning, event management, presidential projects, student-athlete welfare development and compliance communication.
6 years or more of collegiate or professional sports marketing, sales experience
Supervisory experience
Ability to prioritize tasks, handle multiple demands efficiently, successfully work in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities
